Soul Mates – They’re Here There and Everywhere!

I was drinking my morning smoothie and wondered what would I write about next and two words were given to me “Soul Mates”.

Everyone is one, has one, and knows at least one; they’re everywhere.  Soul mates come in all different shapes, colours, sizes, ages, cultures, occupations and relationships.  They could be your children, your boss, your in-laws, your out-laws, your teacher, your mother, your lover, your neighbour and often times the most challenging of soul mates are the ones that showed you the most prevalent life lessons.

Soul mates help us grow; they bring out of us what needs to be healed and are at a similar vibrational frequency.  They are usually the ones closest to us at any given time in our life.  They bring us to an awareness that uncovers levels of ourselves (the good, the bad and the not so good) that we never knew existed.

When one soul mate leaves your life or your space, you can count on it that another one will come in very soon afterwards.  Also, it is not unusual to have more than one soul mate in your life as we all come forth into the physical wanting to experience as much as possible.  Knowing that we are Source energy in physical form, knowing that we are infinite, kind of gives us the proverbial heads up that soul mates are who we are.  We are all earth travellers/soul mates, heading home and helping each other learn, grow and love along the way.

Soul mate energy and perception has gotten a lot of attention in love stories, movies, and cultural beliefs.  Frequently soul mate energy has been confused with twin-flame energy (I will explain this in another posting) and often times, this belief was quite “valentine-ish”, leaving people to think that a soul mate would make everything better for them.  Well, yes, in that aspect they do make everything better, just maybe not quite what you had in mind!

When the novelty of the “valentine-ish” relationship dissolves and you are now into the nitty-gritty times, this is when soul mates really get down to work!  This is when the love evolution really gets moving and the transformation process sets in.  Soul mate relationships assist you in conveying love by performing for the other how you would like to be treated – with Love and in Love.

Some people will say “Hey, wait a minute!  So-and-So was a real turd.”  That’s okay; you still showed So-and-So how you wished to be treated and soon replaced So-and-So with another soul mate to continue the cycle of growth, awareness and expansion into Love.  Sometimes the soul mate lesson was to learn when to let go, learn to for-give, so that you could learn to for-get … another soul mate!

Remember, when we go back to our soul home, we will be welcomed by all souls, all of them, all together, all in loving awareness and all Love.

Leaving you with peace, love, understanding, awareness and wisdom (and of course, big hugs and butterfly kisses).

“A soul mate is an ongoing connection with another individual that the soul picks up again in various times and places over lifetimes. We are attracted to another person at a soul level not because that person is our unique complement, but because by being with that individual, we are somehow provided with an impetus to become whole ourselves.”Edgar Cayce

“Whatever relationships you have attracted in your life at this moment, are precisely the ones you need in your life at this moment. There is a hidden meaning behind all events, and this hidden meaning is serving your own evolution.”– Deepak Chopra

“A soul mate is the one person whose love is powerful enough to motivate you to meet your soul, to do the emotional work of self-discovery, of awakening.”–  Kenny Loggins

“A soul mate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who were pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we’re safe in our own paradise.” – Richard Bach
