Soul Growth

Authentic soul growth happens when you can take a good look at your life experiences and honestly say to yourself “yes, that was me, I did that and I have transitioned and grown through the experience.”

Taking ownership for your experiences and participation doesn’t mean drowning yourself in guilt, or dipping yourself in glory, but rather taking an observer’s point of view of the highlights and lowlights of your journey.

The lowlights were actually the more powerful soul growth moments; they were likely the most uncomfortable, challenging and life path altering lessons.  Those were the moments when you truly asked for help, and you meant it.  Maybe you asked for a sign (that’s always a sign when you ask for one).  Maybe you called on all the saints and sinners that you knew of, maybe you decided you’d had enough and chose different options, and then again, maybe you chose to just let go and observe.

The highlights were the reaching of the pinnacle, the new horizons, the new launching of lessons and charting of the journey.  It’s always a good place to be ready to receive, perhaps it is guidance or maybe it’s a sign, but either way, you’ll know that you’re getting ready for another wave in your journey of soul growth.

Soul growth is also soul searching, looking within and taking the time for self enquiry to consider your choices and discover your inner resources of how much you have learned and where was your Love – powerful realizations!

There are many opportunities for soul growth; they are planned into your blueprint as openings to awakenings.  These awakenings are transformative, this is what soul growth is.  Transformation includes releasing what no longer serves you and it can sometimes be a painful release if you stay attached to it.

Your soul growth and spiritual transformation is very much like the stages of transformation that a caterpillar goes through before becoming a beautiful butterfly.

You can easily determine what stage of transitioning and soul growth you are in during any situation in your life (and there will always be multiple situations/lessons taking place simultaneously).  In taking the approach of butterfly medicine, you can use the following as an example:

If you are becoming mindful of creating or working with an awareness, then you are in the egg stage.  This is the conceptual space, the giving of consideration and thought to your awareness.  You will be questioning your beliefs, what you were taught, thought, and the world around you.

If you are feeling that it is time to make a decision and begin to move forward with your awareness, then you are in the caterpillar stage.  You will be conscious that you are literally inching along, one step at a time, moment by moment, gathering information and details about your path and your purpose.

If you are allowing your awareness (egg stage) and your decision (caterpillar stage) to radiate and become a reality, then you would be in the cocoon stage.  This is where all your efforts will appear to have come to a standstill, yet this is where the deep integration takes place.  It is a time of stillness and trusting in the process (and often times the most challenging yet exciting).

When you are sharing your completed soul growth experience, shining and living your love-truth, then you have transitioned fully into the birth stage, a beautiful butterfly.  The emergence from the cocoon is profound and you will have earned every moment of stepping into your true essence, power and magnificence.

Throughout this process, you will have learned to shift from one level of awareness to another with grace and ease.  Be easy about it, and remember that you are a brilliant expression of infinite intelligence!

Each step of the soul growth experience is repeated and completed by following your heart, instead of following the masses, and by choosing Love, heart-truth and compassion over the norm of conditioning.  While you are still present in physical form, choose heart activating soul growth experiences; make compassion, love and forgiveness a part of your daily life.

Leaving you with peace, love, understanding, awareness and wisdom (and of course, big hugs and butterfly kisses).

No Regrets

It’s not unusual for my guides to wake me up in the morning with a song in my head.  The song will keep playing over and over and over like a broken record until “they” get my undivided attention.  This always results in me either having a profound message for a client or a theme for the day.  And, today’s tune is “No Regrets”  by Tom Cochrane and clearly the theme for today’s blog posting.  Sometimes I feel like there’s a DJ in my head that just won’t stop!

Anyhow, this song’s title of course leads me to share with you some of my early life lessons and I feel that it’s time that we all come to terms with where we’ve been and what we’ve done in our lives.  Personally, I have a collection of experiences in my life that I have named “it was a good idea at the time”.  I don’t think I’m the only one who has a collection either; I think that if we all take a good look at our lives we’ll see that we’ve got a plethora of experiences that we can remember.

My earliest memory of doing something that was a good idea at the time goes back to when I was about 4 years old.  It was a beautiful summer day and my mother was fussing about trying to get my younger sister and me ready to go to a wedding.  I had other plans that day and the number one plan for me was getting into my blow up swimming pool.  For the life of me I searched the backyard and couldn’t find it, so I started asking and then begging my father to get my swimming pool out from wherever it was, blow it up and fill it up.  Of course, my request was flatly denied as we were heading out to a wedding (whatever that was supposed to mean to a four year old little girl!).

So, once my hair was done and my Sunday best dress was on, I was told to stand on the back porch until my sister was ready.  Well, I imagine that lasted for about 2 seconds because standing on the back porch wasn’t one of my better abilities at that point in my life.  I looked around the backyard one more time to see if I could find my elusive blow up swimming pool when an idea came to me, and yes, it was a good idea at the time!!

I decided to put the garden hose in my sandbox and fill it up, and of course, get in.  The fact that I forgot to take off my one and only pretty Sunday best dress didn’t even cross my mind as I was now in heaven and my mission completed; I was in my newly created swimming pool.

It wasn’t too long after I was enjoying myself splashing around in my pool that I heard the words “gitttt in the house” – it was my father.  When my father said “gitttt” with that tone in his voice, well, you’d best be “gitttt-ing” and moving faster than fast!  Well, needless to say my mother wasn’t impressed and was basically totally freaking out because now everyone is ready to go to the wedding and I’m sort of not.

The next thing I remember is that my grandparents showed up and stayed at our house for the day.  I remember my grandmother trying to be stern and my grandfather having a funny grin on his face.  Soon afterwards he set up the sprinkler in the backyard and my playmates came over and we got to run through it (with our bathing suits on – ha!).

What a great day it turned out to be and this became one of my first conscious instances of the universe working with me!  It didn’t seem too much longer after that that I was a teenager and my father was hiring an excavator to put in a real pool in our backyard, and, not much further after that I was a mother with my own children running through the sprinkler.  It’s interesting how life goes on and we continue to have good ideas at the time and then learn and grow from them.

Some great ideas at the time were worth repeating and others, well, not so much.  The time I gave my teacher my friend’s chewy chocolate flavoured chunky dog treats to snack on didn’t end up being such a good idea after all.  It was all fun and games until my friend started barking at the teacher and then the full story came out.  My father got called to the school to pick me up and when we came out of the school’s front door he said “gitttt in the car”.  The universe jumped in again and helped me out because I then came down with the chicken pox and so did my barking friend and we got to play together for a few days while “sequestered” from school.  As time went on and I became a mother, I always had great compassion for all three of my sons’ school teachers.

As a teenager and a young woman, I fell in and out of love, jobs, friendships and fashions many times and always thought my world was possibly coming to an end when things weren’t quite working out like the fairy tales I had been taught to believe in.  But all in all, the universe always supported me and helped me to learn and grow through the experience.  Over time, I have come to terms with my life experiences and understand that I am not to carry any guilt, misgivings and especially any regrets; rather, I am to look deeper with the eyes of compassion, understanding, Love and a good sense of humour.  After all, I have learned that I am still learning, still growing and still experiencing many good ideas at the time!

Leaving you with peace, love, understanding, awareness and wisdom (and of course, big hugs and butterfly kisses).

The Stages of Awakening

I have been guided to expand on the stages of awakening that were assimilated by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross.  She was a pioneer in her day exploring the attitudes, attributes, mindsets and philosophies of people that were nearing the end of their physical life.  She recognized a pattern that people were experiencing, and I feel that the stages of awakening that she discovered are analogous to where our current understanding of the stages of spiritual awakening are today.

Awakenings come into our path in various situations and opportunities during our journey here on earth.  Some awakenings are gradual, like a caterpillar emerging from its cocoon to become a butterfly and some are instantaneous, like in a near death experience or avatar-like transformation.  Regardless of how the awakening occurs, it is inevitable that it will occur, either while still physically focused or upon re-emerging back to source into non-physical.

There is no skipping of stages of awareness and awakening, as each one is pertinent and part of your pathway.  So regardless of where you may recognize yourself or others to be, trust in the process and stay present and with an open heart.  After all, we are all magnificent expressions of infinite awareness!

The first stage is denial – Often times this can be referred to as unconscious incompetence, not knowing that you do not know and rejecting anything that goes counter to general consensus, group-thought thinking or opinions.  At this stage it is common to discredit another’s perspective as we dislike the thought at having possibly been misled and it is easier to “diss” than to discuss.  Most of us have started at this level at some point in our journey as we were conditioned to believe what we had been taught and encouraged and rewarded for those thoughts.  Mind knowledge was emphasized and heart knowing was briefly considered and quickly dismissed.  This is most often the stage of disproportionate acquiring, focusing and accumulating material goods, be it clothing, food, properties, gadgets, financial portfolios, cars, vacations, etc. and an overall exaggerated attachment to career achievements, social status or possessions.

The second stage is anger – This is similar to what some people may have experienced when they realized that they were living a lie and living to someone else’s beliefs and standards.  Wanting to be accepted was part of the conditioning and when you started to comprehend that you were deceived in your beliefs, you want to strike out.  Anger is just a cover for the fact that you experienced being emotionally injured for having allowed yourself to be taken advantage of.  A lot of energy is discharged in this stage and it is usually the shortest stage albeit an intense one.  Most often there are a lot of tears that are shed in this stage too, which is a good thing as tears help to wash and heal our emotional wounds. There is a grieving process that happens in this stage as well; grieving for the old you, the old relationship, the old career, the old what used to be important and significant, and all the while the new you is slowly beginning to emerge.

The third stage is bargaining – Once you’ve finished discharging your energy, you will calm down, refocus and endeavour to reach out to anyone who will listen to tell them what is happening in your life.  In reaching out, you are seeking guidance and comfort in your experience and your path.  You journey for authenticity and clarity continues to expand exponentially and detailed thoroughness and profound understanding of your life purpose becomes paramount.  People who are still in the first stage will refer to you as being delusional, fanatical, hyper focused or even extremist (if they only knew the journey that is going to unfold for them – smile!).

The fourth stage is depression – This is by far the most challenging and uncomfortable of stages and where many beautiful souls get stuck and often times send out a beacon of pulsing desire to be removed from their experience, yet they must feel their way through and can no longer think their way through.  This is where the deep heart activation takes place and it truly is a coming into the proverbial home stretch, the runners last mile, yet it feels like perpetual quicksand!  Feeling stuck between worlds is a common sensation as you haven’t completely released the old and yet you are longing for the new.  As human beings, we love to be progressing, evolving and advancing yet this one takes time because there is so much to process, review and release, so that the final healing and transformation can take place.  I often times refer to this stage as the transitioning; you are not quite where you need to be in order to experience serenity, peacefulness and openness to receiving, but you are almost there – integration of the stages is but a heart beat away!

The fifth stage is acceptance and awareness – Welcome home and welcome to spirit!  You will know that you have arrived, as the progression of creating wise choices from your heart centre for yourself, and not for others, will generate substantial positive personal results.  Finally you deeply love, honour and accept yourself exactly as you are!! These characteristics and natural way of being, support your behaviour, thoughts and actions, and bring about even more positive transformations in your life.  People will start to notice the graceful elegance in your being-ness, the sparkle in your eyes and the gentleness of your heart as your self-confidence and poise returns to a presence that is experienced through the heart.  The compassion and appreciation of others that you will exude will become unmistakable and evident.  Those that “used to know you” will ask what has happened to you; they will tell you that you’ve changed and that you’re different.  And ironically, those that once did not want to hear about your journey (as you were previously stuck somewhere between the second and fourth stages) will be ready to listen.

One of the greatest challenges to becoming totally free, aware and awakened is to be able to think independently from everyone else.  The conditioning and cradle to grave programming that we have received has left many stuck in a world of being told what to think but not how to think.  And, going a step further, we need to re-member how we feel, because feelings are the language of the soul.

We are all in shift-phases and stages of shedding our proverbial cocoons, our thoughts and beliefs that no longer serve us, and experiencing this awakening on a very profound level.  The stages of awakening are in their totality bringing each and every one of us slowly, one step at a time to our path of spiritual growth and lifelong learning.  The experience of spiritual knowledge, awareness and awakening is a joyful one.

Be easy about the stages of awakening and most of all, love where you’re at and love everyone for where they’re at – it’s as simple as that.

Leaving you with peace, love, understanding, awareness and wisdom (and of course, big hugs and butterfly kisses).

The Journey of Healing

Sorry, there’s no magic pill for this one!  I know, you’ve been waiting for me to tell you that healing is easy-peasy.  Well, it can be, if you allow it to be that way, but most likely you will hang on with a long list of denials or justifications and rationalizations of why you can’t and won’t heal. I always say, “it’s up to you” and I can say this in complete honesty because that’s what my guides always lovingly said to me.

I co-created an agreement with my guides, I said, “Let’s meet half way with this journey of healing and if the going gets rough, you’ll all jump in and help me. Okay? Okay!”  I no sooner finished this statement in my heart and soul and the power went out for two and a half days.  In retrospect, this was a fairly significant you-niverse sync-wink, and that was back in August of 2003.   I was in the midst of planning some serious life path transformations and little did I know how truly guided and directed I was, and how much my life would change.

Throughout this journey of healing, I’ve learned something on a very profound level; I learned that I wouldn’t experience a divine intervention per say, but that I would experience what it was like to really dig in deep within myself and find my own power.  I also came to understand that I was being given an opportunity to look at everything with new eyes so that I could understand myself, and the world we live in on a totally different level.

That experience helped to me to navigate, explore and understand new insights into higher vibrational thinking and responses.  In other words, I was learning to discern choosing both inwardly and outwardly how I would respond to circumstances that were unfolding and were yet to unfold in my life.  I also came to integrate the lessons that choosing a higher vibrational response didn’t mean ignoring how I felt and that was probably one of the more challenging lessons in my healing.

Understanding and acknowledging how I felt was the key to my healing and transformation.  What a journey indeed!  At that time, I had no idea how well conditioned and programmed I had allowed myself to become in order to maintain the illusion of belonging, of fitting in, and of keeping an invisible safety net around myself.  I had spent what seemed like a lifetime of concealing most of my true feelings and thoughts in order to not upset others or with the awkwardness that might even bring!  I often found myself going along to get along and I was categorically choosing to downplay my true role as a healer.  Holding myself back out of fear of intimidating others and playing second fiddle had settled into an everyday occurrence for me.

My journey of healing and transformation was consciously choosing to embrace my inner strength and self-awareness.  I chose to actively experience my own evolutionary growth on a deep personal level so that I could be the essence of higher-vibrational thoughts.  The easy-peasy part of my healing came when I recognized that I no longer had to keep one foot on the gas and the other foot on the brake.  It was time to heal, release and transform; after all, I couldn’t possibly be a healer to and for others, if I wasn’t prepared to heal myself!

I am sharing this part of my healing journey with you as I feel that it is overwhelmingly important that we all choose to heal.  You are not alone in this journey of healing.  Take a good look around you and you will see people in shift-phases of healing, and, it is through healing that your awakening and awareness becomes palpable.

The Taoists have observed that all floods start with a single drop of rain.  It is with deep heartfelt insightfulness that I share with you that I feel that something leading edge and revolutionary is about to be seen in this world of ours.  This will be the first time on earth where each raindrop (person) is not only consciously choosing their journey of healing, but also awakening, aware and actively participating in the collective goal of the flood of compassion and Love.  I am excited about this, really excited!

Remember, you are a continuous conscious stream of energy and light, forged of love and capable of creating miracles.  You are here now and you have a purpose – live it!!

Leaving you with peace, love, understanding, awareness and wisdom (and of course, big hugs and butterfly kisses).

Intimacy Truth

Okay, we need to talk.  It’s overdue and has been the proverbial elephant in the room for quite some time, so here goes.  The kind of intimacy that we’re going to talk about today isn’t the 50 shades kind; it’s the spiritual truth kind. We most often think of intimacy as being intimate with another person, the feeling of being in a close personal relationship or belonging together with another.

Genuine intimacy in relationship with another necessitates open dialogue, a mutual exchange of energy and transparency of intentions.  Intimacy also includes detailed knowledge of the other, and this knowledge is commonly on an intuitive level, an unspoken but known in the heart kind of level.

When there is a presence of flowing love and compassion, there is intimacy. When we are completely in love with our self, we cannot help but be completely in love with all others. This is when our compassionate heart pulses and sends out a spirited signal of alignment of who we truly are, Love.

If we remain unaware of intimacy truth, we will go about our life experience projecting our un-awakened inner selves onto others.  Eventually the others are not going to live up to the projected expectation and then disappointment ensues.  This inevitably results in unnecessary heartache and confusion.

Take a moment and check into your self and welcome what needs your attention.  Most likely there will be a little or even a big something that needs to be healed that will lead you back to maintaining your state of inner intimate awareness.  Appreciate your vulnerability; it’s what makes you authentic.

Stand proud of who you are irrespective of what others think, or what you think others think about you.  Acknowledge your essence, your truth, your gifts, your courage, your strength, your spiritual power, your kindness, and your discerning and empathic heart.  Release any and all lies you were told and told yourself about your lack of worthiness; they simply are not true.  You are a magnificent expression of infinite intelligence; there is no mistake about it.

Commit to becoming mindful of the unconscious patterns that limit your beloved intimacy.  Intimacy is a path of spiritual development, and, now that we’ve talked, you will recognize that “intimacy” is revealed as, “into me, I see!”

Leaving you with peace, love, understanding, awareness and wisdom (and of course, big hugs and butterfly kisses).

“Enlightenment is the key to everything, and it is the key to intimacy, because it is the goal of true authenticity.”  – Marianne Williamson

You can go on changing the outer for lives and you will never be satisfied. Unless the inner changes, the outer can never be perfect.”  – Osho

“Someone who takes the time to understand their relationship with source, who actively seeks alignment with their broader perspective, who deliberately seeks and finds alignment with who-they-really-are, is more charismatic, more attractive, more effective, and more powerful than a group of millions who have not achieved this alignment.”Abraham Hicks

Avoiding The Void

We are coming to that time and place in our journey where there is a significant shift taking place for many people.  Most will be experiencing what I call “the void”.  It happens when the long held beliefs of what we thought, were taught and are holding onto, turns out to no longer serve us as a reality that brings us joyfulness.

The shifting process is having consequences for all of us; leaving an impression of melancholy.  The missing of what used to be and perhaps sensing some apprehension for what will be.  Healing the void can be daunting, but it is inevitable; the feelings of not seeing any signposts to guide the way can at times feel overwhelming, but there is no going back now.

Stuffing the void with distractions and excessive busy activities are nothing but giant red flags waving at you for your attention – your attention to yourself and how you are honestly feeling.  Take a moment to practice your inner wisdom and sit with the void and feel it.  What you have not allowed to heal will come to the surface, asking you to explore it, accept it, embrace it and most of all, love it.

You may be thinking to yourself “Wait a minute here, I don’t want to love the feelings that are coming up, I just want them to go away!”  Well, the choice is yours, you can continue to run but you cannot continue to hide from yourself.  It is worth every heart-wrenching moment to feel your way through, filling your void with your own understanding, compassion and love.  This experience will leave you with the self-realization of joyfulness that no outside distraction can provide or duplicate.

Filling yourself with loving thoughts and happy memories of growth and transition is a good way to soothe the shifting.  Creating a little haven for yourself, a personal sanctuary, even if it means lighting a candle and sitting quietly with your thoughts, do it.  Take this time to just be, to listen to your breath and observe your thoughts without engaging in them.  Doing this kind of inner work has the power to transform at the deepest of levels, allowing you to become more of who you truly are and to live from a state of clarity, purpose and confidence.

If we pine over what used to be, we spill out our energy into a past event that cannot be changed, however, we can change our perspective.  You are never guilty for your past; you are responsible for your participation.  Consider that the past was the education, the training to get us to our present space. Then, consider that the present space is the lifting off place, taking the essence from the past lessons.

Throughout my own personal journey, I have had to release a tremendous amount of self-doubt and uncertainty that I carried with me, as all it served was to cloud my perception and hold me back from doing what I was really meant to do.  When I consciously began to release the programs and beliefs of what no longer served me I was able to fully step into my life path with greater clarity and wisdom.

In welcoming the void as an opportunity to first feel it and then fill it with Love, to really embrace the experience rather than yearning over it until life just came along and filled it in, I created a clear path for myself and inspired others.  Avoiding the void – who would’ve ever thought that embracing it would be so magnificent!  Remember that Love is the highest power of all, but can only be powerful when you completely accept and Love yourself.

Leaving you with peace, love, understanding, awareness and wisdom (and of course, big hugs and butterfly kisses).

Sapere Aude – Are You Ready?

Sapere Aude (pronounced sap-er-ray ow-day) is a Latin phrase meaning, “dare to be wise” or more precisely “dare to know”.

You may be experiencing reactions to situations where your thoughts and feelings may not be your own, but rather belong to the imbedded lifelong cradle to grave programming from the world around you.  Consider if your reactions are really your reactions, or, are your reactions scripted, conditioned and expected reactions?  Oftentimes we repeatedly do, say and think things because that is the way that we have always done them.

Slow down your reactions and use your intuition; access the wisdom of your soul, think from your heart and discern.  It is easy to react, and simple to respond; it is how you create and start fresh again that matters most.  You are an extension of source energy and creator of all that was, is, and ever will be; use this extension wisely with grace and humbleness.

Become conscious with your words, thoughts and actions; this means being mindful, awakened, sensitive and aware.  The outcome to any given situation is magical when you reconsider your patterned responses.  There is a reason that our culture and socially engineered society is distracted beyond awareness; this has slowly been conditioned into our lives to present itself as normal, and busy and exhausted are being glorified.   When you are distracted you have no idea what is really going on around you.

Disconnect from the distractions, they are nothing more than diversions for the mind that keep you unaware of your opportunities to experience perception with razor sharp acuity and heightened insight.  The distractions are energetic noise, designed to keep you oblivious.  In disengaging from the noise, you will experience peacefulness leading to tranquility, and, the opportunities to listen to your heart-speak will become abundant.

Empower yourself with truths that resonate deep within yourself, regardless of what others say or do.  Be the exclusivity that is you, and fulfill your purpose of awakening and expressing Love and compassion to your fellow earth travellers.  We are a race of beings that learn through experiential practices; practice being present, compassionate, awakened and Loving.

Re-member yourself first, heart-speak to yourself on a regular basis and in a very short period of time you will be astounded at the words that will flow from you to others, let alone the shift in your thoughts, attitude, actions and reactions.

The mind is like a computer and it is taking in thousands of bits of information every single moment.  Its job is to process at an incredible rate, regulate according to the environment and send feedback to the body.  If we are unaware, our mind will take charge, become the master and begin to run our lives.  It will start to make decisions based on “fact-crap” and will do everything possible to keep you engaged and distracted with outside noise and drama.

The mind will tell you if it’s hot or cold out or what you should wear or think or what street to take to your destination.  The mind doesn’t think with emotion, but the heart does.  The heart knows passion and is actually the brain to the emotional body.  It’s your heart that gives you the reaction of a love-glow when you’re sensing your authentic awareness.

When you feel an outpouring of deep empathy and compassion, this is your heart speaking.  The heart is the centre of your universe; it pilots you if you pay attention.

The babies that are newly arrived are present, and living through their heart center; they are not striving to achieve or conquer anything or anyone.  They are content exploring the world through their heart.  Observe their heart-speak energy, they are reminding you of the one you’ve forgotten you had.

You came to this earth realm at this time to assist with the shift into a higher consciousness.  You know who you are and all you need to know is within you; use this heart-speak intelligence and honour it.

The high tides of awakening waters are intensifying, be ready to Sapere Aude!

Leaving you with peace, love, understanding, awareness and wisdom (and of course, big hugs and butterfly kisses).

Jumping In

When I was a little girl, my parents signed me up for swimming lessons as neither of them were strong swimmers and they both felt that it was important that I learn to swim.  I had no idea what was involved in swimming lessons, so off I went on the city bus to the local city pool and unquestioningly stood in line.  I was really excited to be there, and the thought of playing in the water with a bunch of new friends seemed like the best idea ever!

Unbeknownst to me, I was in the line-up for the more advanced swimmers and that day was the day that they were being tested on their abilities to jump into the deep end waters of the pool.  There didn’t seem to be a lot of details or instructions being given other than the burly looking sergeant major of a lifeguard standing by the edge of the pool yelling “next”.

As the line-up advanced and my turn was becoming imminent, I felt fearful and watched the whole process with trepidation.  My stomach slowly began to lurch somewhere up around where my heart and lungs were.  It never occurred to me to speak up and tell someone that I was in the wrong line up; I think I was probably too overwhelmed.  My mind was playing out scenarios and telling me that I didn’t know what to do, that I wasn’t good enough, that I wasn’t like the others and then my guides were telling me that I would be fine.  The inevitable moment arrived, it was my turn to jump in and I was sure this was it – I was going to die.

Being all of 6 years old, I didn’t have a lot of information on dying, and dying at that time in my life meant that I would miss my earth friends and family, riding my bike faster than Roger Ramjet, chalking on the sidewalk and playing with my Penny Brite doll.  It also meant that I would be able to freely be with my guides and spirit friends and family, and we could fly and dance and read and play all day long as there was no night-time or bed-time!

“Neeeexxxxxttttt” shouted the lifeguard and he was looking right down at me.  I remember trying to open my mouth to say something and then in the next moment I was jumping in.  Gratefully I had the presence to close my mouth and down into the deep end waters I went.  It felt like forever, everything was in slow motion and amplified by the fact that I had what felt like the entire swimming pool’s water up my nose.  I remember opening my eyes and being amazed at all of the bubbles and how pretty they looked and how I felt like I was merging into this beautiful aquamarine colour.  I could feel the comfort of my guides, spirit friends and family and I just knew that everything was going to be more than fine.  I was really enjoying myself, laughing and smiling and then I sensed the energy power-up around me and wooooosh, I was surfacing out of the water and looking right into the face of … the lifeguard!

Ah, so much for my dying experience (which became one of many more to come).  What I did learn was that I could jump into very deep waters way over my head, and, I would always come back to the surface with a different experience.  I also learned to become a very skilled diver as well as a passionate synchronized swimmer.  Most of all, I learned that all I had to do was focus on when to breathe, trust, relax, and take it all in because just when I thought it could all be over, it would be, but not how I thought it would be.

Our life journey will bring us experiences that are very much like jumping into waters that are very deep and unknown.  Jumping into your fear makes you realize very quickly that you won’t “die” but you will die to your fear and come out with a perspective that you never thought possible.  Now, there is a clear distinction between fear and danger and you must trust yourself on the difference – I will leave that up to your individual discernment!

So, the next time you experience the sensation of fear (False Evidence Appearing Real), jump in, you will scare the daylights out of yourself, release your fear and embrace a new experience.  The fear of fear is worse than the fear itself.  Transform fear into Love; fear is simply a lack of understanding and compassion.  Jump in, jump into the deepest darkest part of your life and be amazed as you transform your experience into Love.

Leaving you with peace, love, understanding, awareness and wisdom (and of course, big hugs and butterfly kisses).

“Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free.”  – Jim Morrison

“Don’t give in to your fears. If you do, you won’t be able to talk to your heart.” – Paulo Coelho

“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”  – Nelson Mandela

The Transmutable Alchemist

If ever you take the time to observe your thoughts, you would be really quite amazed at how much the mind “thinks” – it just goes on and on and on, from one topic to another.  Those thoughts are like elements to a creation and you are either consciously manifesting something magnificent or you are not.

The other day I was at my yoga studio easing myself into meditation when a loud motorcycle pulled up out front with the music playing and it was clearly audible.  In less than a breath I was on the motorcycle, it was a Harley I’m sure, and the driver was George Clooney.  We went riding together and we were heading off to discover new horizons when in the next breath I remembered where I was!

If you are not aware of your thoughts or not paying attention, you will be shown relatively quickly; these are usually the stages where you stub your toes, slam your fingers in a drawer, drop things or even begin to manifest an illness or an accident.  It’s as if you are bumping into your own energetic unawareness.

Become consciously aware of your thoughts, as energy follows those thoughts.  If you keep thinking thoughts that are not what you want to manifest, that worry you or negatively pre-occupy you, then do not be surprised when exactly what you were dreading comes to be.  This also applies to trying to control another’s choices or behaviour – they too are creating for themselves.  You can only inspire through your actions; you can never control another.  Give up on creating for someone else, it won’t work and you’ll only waste your energy.

Now, the inverse is true as well, if you think thoughts that are pleasant, that are uplifting, that bring you to a space and place that is harmonious to your soul, then you will be very pleased with what you have manifested.  When you pay attention to your thoughts and regularly ensure their transformation to a state of peacefulness and joy, you will experience a flow of grace that is palpable; this flow is also called Love and compassion.

You see, your true soul purpose here on earth is one of Love, of joyfulness and to be of service to others.  It is your birthright, your entitlement to give and receive this Love and joy.  Little babies that have just been born do not bring anything but Love and joyfulness with them and they are immediately of service to others as they are happy to be here.  Any negative traits that are attributed to babies and then soon to be young-humans, are an external conditioned response, a learned behaviour.

We are like alchemists, we have the power to be transmutable and shift our thoughts, we just need to re-member our power!  We indisputably are Love, infinite awareness having an experience.  Most of humanity has not yet awakened to be consciously aware; they are still experiencing the since-birth conditioning to think of themselves in only a five-sense modality.

Think of your thoughts as Love being just like water – water is soft yet powerful, nourishes the minutest of forms yet carves through solid rock, falls from the sky for everyone and everything, and unconditionally flows back to its source.

Be a transmutable alchemist in your thoughts, your actions, your words and your desires.  You are an extension of Source for all that is, has been and ever will be.  Yes, you are Love!

Now, back to that Harley ride with George …

Leaving you with peace, love, understanding, awareness and wisdom (and of course, big hugs and butterfly kisses).

“Contentment and happiness depend solely on the mind, not on external objects or circumstances.”  – Amma (Mata Amritanandamayi Devi)

“The only thing that makes the difference in the way you feel right now is the thought that you are thinking right now. It doesn’t matter how much money you’ve got; there are joyful people with no money, and there are unhappy people with lots of money. How you feel is about how you are allowing the Source that is You to flow.”  – Abraham

“First comes thought; then organization of that thought into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality.  The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination”  – Napoleon Hill

Love is Your Highest Calling

When we look deep within ourselves and dust off our inner mirror, we can clearly see that we have a purpose, a mission here in this existence.

We all experience life lessons, which are truthfully spiritual lessons, only most people go through their lives unaware of this until they re-emerge and have their awakening.  This being said, you have the ability to awaken now, to truly understand that this life is an incredible opportunity to be born into a human body.

The first step in your calling is to be completely present.  When you are completely present you become a vehicle for the divine.  In being completely present, there is no past, no future, there is only the focusing power and energy of the very moment, and your energy flows with the power and brilliance of a million stars.  Healers know this and this is when healings take place.

The world that we live in is very much a theatre of experience; it’s a virtual and authentic 3D reality with the karmic twist of awakening available to those who choose to look within.  Your authentic self becomes visible when you awaken and you become aware of the life force of every thought.  Your awareness is consciousness, mindfulness of honouring your self, then, honouring others, then the conclusion that we really are all in this together, we are all one.

As you become more aware of your calling, you will begin to share your higher path with others – you become a beacon of Love for others, providing the spiritual and physical presence to light the pathway.  You inspire others through your courage, your integrity, and your magnificent being-ness.

The biggest challenge is in stepping into the illusion of your greatest fears, and calming them with your highest calling, Love.  With each fear overcome, you will gain momentum and grow in authenticity, insight and spiritual wisdom.  This is part of your journey in discovering your highest calling, in opening your heart centre and compassionately embracing your fellow earth travellers as they travel their path.  Remember that some will only come part ways on their path and give up; Love them for where they’re at.  We are all in this together, send Love to those that are standing, those that are un-awakened and those that may have fallen; they simply got caught up in the web of noise and chaos.  Spiritual responsibility says that no one gets left behind or forgotten when Love is your highest calling.

Leaving you with peace, love, understanding, awareness and wisdom (and of course, big hugs and butterfly kisses).

“In this universe it is love that binds everything together. Love is the very foundation, beauty and fulfillment of life.” – Amma (Mata Amritanandamayi Devi)

“The Universe contains three things that cannot be destroyed; Being, Awareness and LOVE”  – Deepak Chopra
